A busy weekend....getting the backyard going!

We had a pretty busy weekend! Saturday we had 3 differant landscaping companies come out to give us bids. We decided on one finally! So they will start tomarrow on the installation of 14oo sq ft of beautiful green lawn.....cant wait to see the water bills! But what Ernie wants, Ernie gets .....LOL!

Saturday afternoon we went to a Neighborhood BBQ across the street and it was great fun hanging out with the neighbors and seeing the kids play.

Sunday was busy going to mesquite valley growers and buying trees and plants, we had to go twice as Peyton was suddenly starving and we had to leave to go get food! After filling up on yummy vietnamiese food we headed back and made our purchases.

Ernie planted 4 citrus trees, 3 up on the lower plateau (madarin, lime and lemon) and a kumquat tree in a bit pot. We also got 3 tomato plants and got them in big pots.

After the grass goes in, Ernie will make me 2 large raised bed vegtable gardens....Yeah! and will also make a sandbox for Peyton and the coming baby. After that we'll spread gravel and get a trampoline (with a net of course!)

We also will be doing alot of planting on the Plateaus, in phases of course and I'll post pictures as things get going!
